LPGA announce global ambassadors ft. Rose Zhang and Angel Yin. Check out full list

The LPGA Tour has announced its latest global ambassadors, selecting Angel Yin, Gaby Lopez, Rose Zhang, Madelene Sagstrom, and Sarah Schmelzel. Notably absent from the list are two of the biggest names in women’s golf, Nelly Korda and Charley Hull.

Zhang, ranked 14th in the Rolex Rankings, and Yin, ranked 20th, lead the group. Sagstrom, Schmelzel, and Lopez hold rankings of 59th, 69th, and 75th, respectively. These players replace Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, Lizette Salas, Mariah Stackhouse, and Lexi Thompson as this year’s ambassadors.

Nancy Henderson, president of the LPGA Foundation, expressed excitement about the new ambassadors. She emphasized their role in inspiring young girls and carrying forward the foundation’s mission to transform lives through golf. The LPGA Tour selected them based on values such as empowerment and engagement.

Despite the absence of Korda and Hull, the LPGA believes this new group will positively impact the sport. Their influence aims to expand women’s golf globally, fostering growth and inclusion. With this fresh lineup, the LPGA continues its commitment to shaping the future of the game.
