Lindsey Vonn poses in a bright red maxi dress during a break in filming as a cohost of the Recent Sports Illustrated Awards

The Olympic gold medalist, 40, turned heads in the stunning gown, which featured a turtleneck design with daring side cutouts. Standing tall at 5ft 10in, Vonn styled her long blonde hair straight with a center part and completed her elegant look with red satin strappy heels.

The celebrated skier joined fellow hosts Richard Jefferson, Cari Champion, and Chad Johnson for the event, which was pre-recorded in Las Vegas and streamed online on Saturday night.

Vonn shared several behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, expressing her excitement in the caption: “So excited to host the first ever Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards!” She also posted a fun video montage showing the hosts joking around on set.

A decorated athlete, Lindsey Vonn made history by winning the first-ever Olympic gold medal for an American woman in downhill alpine skiing during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She also claimed four World Cup titles between 2008 and 2012, a record matched by only one other female skier.

Off the slopes, Vonn is engaged to NHL star P.K. Subban and has expanded her career into television, hosting the Amazon Original series The Pack — a competition show similar to The Amazing Race, but featuring dogs and their owners.
