Andy Murray is expected to help shape the design of his future Wimbledon statue, a tribute set to be revealed during the tournament’s 150th anniversary celebrations in 2027.
The two-time champion, now 38, became the first British man since Fred Perry to win the singles title, and tennis greats including John McEnroe and Billie Jean King have long pushed for a permanent honour in his name.
Murray has recently been recognised in other ways too — most notably with the renaming of Queen’s Club’s Centre Court in his honour — but Wimbledon’s planned statue is set to become the most iconic tribute yet.
According to the All England Club’s CEO, Murray will be directly involved in deciding how the statue should look, ensuring the monument reflects both his legacy and pe
rsonality.
