Amid Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth snub, former US Open winner and three others earn Arnold Palmer Invitational exemptions

Former U.S. Open champion Justin Rose, along with Mackenzie Hughes, Min Woo Lee, and Rafael Campos, has earned sponsor exemptions for the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Campos secured his spot after writing a letter requesting an exemption, as revealed by Sam Saunders, Arnold Palmer’s grandson.

Meanwhile, notable players like Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth did not receive exemptions. Despite their past success, both struggled last season and finished outside the top 60 in the FedEx Cup standings, failing to qualify automatically. The selection committee prioritized players who contribute to the growth and balance of the sport.

The final field for the tournament will be confirmed after the Cognizant Classic. Currently, the top 50 players from last year’s FedEx Cup standings, alongside the four sponsor exemptions, have secured spots. The Arnold Palmer Invitational is set to take place from March 6 to 9 at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida.
