Jordan Spieth moves to T7 after two consecutive birdies at the Valero Texas Open

Jordan Spieth is competing in the 2025 Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course. In his second round, he made back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15, briefly climbing to T3 on the leaderboard before slipping to T7 after a double bogey.

The PGA Tour shared Spieth’s impressive birdies on social media, highlighting his strong play. However, a costly mistake on hole one resulted in a double bogey, setting him back. With six holes remaining, Spieth still has a chance to regain momentum in the tournament.

Spieth’s 2025 PGA Tour season has been challenging following wrist surgery. Despite a slow start, he has shown flashes of brilliance this week. His performance at the Valero Texas Open could be a crucial confidence boost ahead of the 2025 Masters.

As of now, Keith Mitchell leads the tournament at eight under par, followed closely by five players tied at six under. Spieth, currently at five under, remains in contention as he looks to build on his promising form in the coming rounds.
