8 LIV Golfers who missed the cut at the PGA Championship 2025 feat. Phil Mickelson

Half of the 16 LIV Golf participants failed to make it to the weekend at the 2025 PGA Championship. Among the eight who missed the cut were several high-profile names, including Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Dustin Johnson.

Mickelson, the 2021 PGA champion, struggled early at Quail Hollow, carding a total of nine-over par. Koepka and Johnson, both major winners, also fell short, failing to replicate past performances on one of golf’s biggest stages.

Patrick Reed, Martin Kaymer, and John Catlin were also among those who didn’t make it past round two. Despite flashes of brilliance, their scores weren’t enough to advance to moving day in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dean Burmester and Cameron Smith rounded out the list of LIV Golfers who exited early. Smith, a former Open champion, saw his campaign collapse with a rough first round, while Burmester couldn’t find his rhythm across both days.
