Sam Kerr made a surprise return to Australia just ten days after welcoming her son, Jagger, with partner Kristie Mewis. She was seen cheering on the Central Coast Mariners at the A-League Women’s Grand Final in Melbourne.

The 31-year-old striker has been sidelined since January 2024 due to an ACL injury. Although she’s resumed light training, Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor has not provided a timeline for her return to competitive football.

Despite being absent from the pitch, Kerr appeared in Chelsea’s 2025-26 kit launch. Her recent trip to Australia coincided with Chelsea’s Women’s FA Cup Final clash against Manchester United at Wembley.

Kerr and Mewis, who got engaged in 2023, have shared joyful updates as new parents. While Kerr briefly visited Chelsea’s training ground, Mewis was seen strolling through London with baby Jagger earlier this week.
