Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis have joyfully welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Jagger Mewis-Kerr. The football stars shared the news on social media, posting a tender photo of the newborn resting on Kerr’s chest.
Fans and fellow athletes flooded the couple with congratulations, including a warm message from the Matildas’ official page. The pair first revealed their pregnancy in November through a touching black-and-white photo collage.
Kerr and Mewis began their relationship in 2019 and confirmed it publicly in 2021. They got engaged in 2023, keeping the announcement private until Mewis confirmed it in a People Magazine interview.
While Mewis plays for West Ham United, Kerr captains the Matildas and plays for Chelsea.
Kerr is currently recovering from an ACL injury, and her return to the pitch remains uncertain as the season nears its end.
