Central Coast Mariners rising star Tiana Fuller says it’s “amazing” to be compared to Matildas icon Sam Kerr after her team’s historic A-League Women’s Championship victory over Melbourne Victory in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
At just 17, Fuller played a crucial role in the Grand Final, calmly converting her penalty with Kerr watching from the stands. The young striker expressed her disbelief at the comparison, calling it a surreal and humbling moment.

Fuller, still balancing school and professional football, enjoyed a breakout season. She netted six goals across 23 matches despite starting only four, showcasing her potential under coach Emily Husband.

Looking ahead, Fuller dreams of an international career. Though she doesn’t have one dream club, she named Arsenal and Barcelona as ideal destinations as she aims to play across various countries and levels.
