Jordan Spieth leaves Scottie Scheffler in no doubt with what he said at Memorial

Scottie Scheffler secured his third victory of the 2025 season with a dominant performance at the Memorial Tournament, finishing 10-under-par. Jordan Spieth, who tied for seventh, praised Scheffler’s consistency and elite ball-striking ability after the final round.

Spieth described Scheffler’s club face control as “maybe the best there’s ever been,” highlighting how it fuels his distance precision and tempo. According to Spieth, Scheffler’s worst shots still land within 15 feet—showing just how high his baseline performance is.

With 16 career wins and three majors, Scheffler now eyes the US Open and Open Championship. A win at either could move him closer to a career Grand Slam—an achievement only six golfers have ever accomplished.

Meanwhile, Spieth’s own Grand Slam hopes were dented after missing the cut at the PGA Championship. He’ll aim to rebound at the upcoming US Open at Oakmont and The Open at Royal Portrush, ending an eight-year major drought.
