Camila Giorgi has publicly denied serious allegations involving tax fraud, theft, and unpaid rent. The former tennis star insists the accusations are based on misinformation and stem from poor management by individuals previously overseeing her affairs.
In an interview with Italian broadcaster Verissimo, Giorgi stated her father, Sergio, was only her trainer and not involved in financial dealings. She clarified that any tax-related issues arose from others who managed her career, not from her or her family’s wrongdoing.
Giorgi also rejected claims about stealing furniture from a rented Italian villa, explaining that they furnished the property themselves. She emphasized they did not flee Italy to avoid legal consequences and have since resolved past issues.
However, the property owner maintains that the Giorgis left without paying rent and took valuable items, including antique furniture and rugs. They described the incident as both financially and emotionally damaging, casting doubt on Giorgi’s defense.
