Serena Williams: “No athlete has a body like mine

Serena Williams candidly discussed body image challenges in *Du Jour* magazine, highlighting her unique physique. “No athlete has boobs like me,” she stated, admitting it’s been difficult accepting her curves in a society that often celebrates thinness.

Growing up with her tall, slender sister Venus, Serena faced early struggles with body confidence. “I was the smallest and really fat,” she recalled. The contrast intensified her awareness of societal beauty standards and made self-acceptance harder.

Serena emphasized that insecurity can persist into adulthood. “Even at 26 or 27, it’s normal to feel uncomfortable with yourself,” she shared. Despite fame and success, embracing her body took time and self-reflection.

Reflecting on her unchanging figure, Serena remarked, “I could lose 9 kilos and I’d still have these tits and this butt.” Her honest perspective resonates with many, shedding light on the personal challenges even elite athletes face.
