Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang delivered a strong showing at the 2025 Dow Championship, finishing at 20-under. Despite a clutch birdie on the final hole and clubhouse lead, they were forced into a playoff by South Korea’s Jin Hee Im and Somi Lee.
The Korean duo matched the Americans’ score with a birdie on 17, setting up a dramatic finish. In the playoff, Im drained a crucial birdie putt under pressure, while Khang’s must-make attempt narrowly missed, handing victory to the first-time LPGA winners.
Im and Lee made history as the 50th and 51st South Koreans to win on the LPGA Tour. Their Dow victory also marked their first career titles, with each earning $399,510 and celebrating a special moment in Midland, Michigan.
Thompson, competing for a third straight week, added another top finish to her season. While she’s hinted at a break, her return remains unknown. The LPGA Tour now shifts to France for the Amundi Evian Championship.
