Report:Charley Hull’s Amundi Evian Championship Ends Abruptly Due to Illness

Charley Hull’s bid at the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship ended in heartbreak after a sudden illness forced her off the course. The 29-year-old completed only three holes before requiring medical attention and ultimately withdrawing from the tournament.

Hull collapsed twice near the fourth tee after showing visible signs of distress. Tournament officials paused play for 15 minutes as medical staff attended to her. Though she attempted to continue, her condition worsened, prompting her removal via medical cart.

Her exit came amid a strong season that included top-12 finishes at the U.S. Women’s Open and KPMG Women’s PGA. Ranked 19th globally, Hull had entered the Evian as one of the event’s top contenders.

Hull has competed in nine LPGA events this year, securing multiple top-20 results. Her best finish came at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, tying for fourth. Despite this setback, her overall season reflects consistency and competitive
spirit.
