Maria Sharapova Turns Heads in Stylish Beach Getaway with Son Theodore
Former tennis champion Maria Sharapova has once again given fans a glimpse into her life off the court — this time, from a sun-kissed beach escape with her three-year-old son, Theodore. The 36-year-old star shared adorable Instagram stories capturing precious mother-son moments.
A Champion on the Court, a Devoted Mom Off It
Sharapova, a five-time Grand Slam winner with 36 WTA singles titles, retired in 2020 after the Australian Open. She soon embraced a new chapter, getting engaged to businessman Alexander Gilkes later that year and welcoming Theodore in July 2022.
Though she often shares snippets of life with her son, Sharapova has always kept his face private. Still, her posts radiate warmth — from playful home activities to seaside adventures.

In one Instagram story, Theodore is seen happily playing in the sand, his toys scattered around him, while Sharapova captures the scenic ocean backdrop. Another photo shows the tennis icon on a boat, soaking up the coastal beauty in effortless style.
“It’s been one of the best things that’s happened to me in my life,”Sharapova has said of motherhood. “I get to teach him and grow with him… he’s exploring the world and I get to explore with him.”
From Grand Slams to Gentle Lessons
Speaking previously to the Tennis Channel, Sharapova revealed how her career prepared her for parenting:
“There’s a lot of negotiation skills that go on with parenthood… skills I learned through my career in business and sport that I now apply as a mother.”
Earlier this year, she also marked Theo’s third birthday with a heartfelt note and celebrated Mother’s Day when he gifted her a bouquet.
A Life Full of Love Beyond Tennis
While Sharapova’s days of lifting trophies may be behind her, her life is no less rich in victories — only now, they come in the form of shared laughter, seaside strolls, and the joy of raising her little boy.
