Paige Spiranac Speaks Out on LPGA’s Dress Code Rules
The LPGA has frequently updated its policies in an effort to modernize the women’s game, but some of its dress code restrictions have drawn controversy. In 2017, officials banned players from wearing low-cut tops, leggings, workout gear, and short skirts, sparking frustration among golfers and fans alike.

Paige Spiranac, one of golf’s most recognizable figures, weighed in on the matter. While she acknowledged the importance of tradition and respecting the game’s standards, she voiced concern that overly strict rules could hinder the growth and appeal of women’s golf.

“As both a golfer and an advocate for women’s equality, I worry that these regulations limit progress,” Spiranac wrote. She reflected on her own teenage years, admitting she often felt uncomfortable and insecure in traditional golf attire before eventually embracing her personal style.
Now a successful influencer, Spiranac is known for her bold fashion choices on and off the course. Though she has no plans to alter her look, she remains skeptical about whether the LPGA will revisit its dress code, leaving many to question if the rules will evolve with the sport.
