Former tennis champion Andy Murray gave fans a glimpse into his personal life by posting a sweet photo with his son, Teddy. Since stepping away from professional tennis earlier this year, the 37-year-old has been embracing family life more fully.
Murray uploaded the Instagram picture of himself and Teddy, who was born in 2019, both wearing matching blue hoodies. With a wide grin on his face, Murray covered his son’s identity using a star emoji and captioned it:
“Matching blue💙 with my wee star⭐️❤️😊”

The Brit officially retired after competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he played doubles with Dan Evans. The pair reached the quarterfinals before being knocked out by Americans Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul. At the time, Murray revealed that one of his biggest post-retirement goals was to spend more time at home with his children.

During a light-hearted TikTok challenge with Team GB, he said:
“My sporting goal is to try and become a scratch golfer. And my life goal? Just to be a good dad. I want to be around my kids while they’re growing up and spend more time with my wife.”
Murray and his wife Kim Sears, whom he married in 2015, are parents to four children: daughters Sophia (2016), Edie (2017), and their youngest born in 2021, along with their only son Teddy.
Even during his playing career, Murray stressed that family came first. Back in 2016, he told the Daily Mail, “My priority is to be a good father. I always wanted a family and a strong marriage.”
Although he’s no longer on the ATP Tour, Murray hasn’t completely walked away from sports. He recently played alongside Rory McIlroy at the BMW PGA Championships and was spotted practicing again shortly after.
In 2024, Murray competed in 18 singles matches, securing just six wins. His best run came at the Miami Open, where he advanced to the third round before losing to Tomas Machac.
