Serena Williams showed off her newly slender figure at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island on Saturday evening

Serena Williams turned heads at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, on Saturday evening, showing off her noticeably slimmer frame in a pale blue minidress paired with vibrant blue-and-pink heels. Her long blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders as she celebrated a milestone moment in tennis history.

The 43-year-old, who recently revealed she shed 31 pounds with the help of GLP-1 medication after years of struggling with post-pregnancy weight, took the stage to honor Maria Sharapova. Serena introduced her longtime rival—now friend—as Sharapova was inducted into the Hall of Fame. On Instagram, Williams reflected on their journey, writing that while their careers began as fierce competitors, they’ve since grown to respect and support each other.

Their rivalry stretched across Grand Slam finals and Olympic battles, often spilling off the court as well, with sharp exchanges in the media. Yet, on this night, Williams praised Sharapova as one of the few players who consistently pushed her to perform at her best. “When a friend calls, you answer,” she told the crowd, emphasizing the importance of women supporting women.

Williams also spoke candidly about her weight-loss journey, explaining that despite years of intense training, she struggled to return to her pre-pregnancy shape after having daughters Olympia and Adira. Partnering with telehealth company Ro, she began GLP-1 treatment earlier this year. She shared that the change has left her feeling healthier, more energetic, and pain-free—proof, she said, that the treatment isn’t just a shortcut, but a path back to feeling like herself.
