Whenever Serena and Venus Williams team up, fans know they’re in for something special. Whether dominating on the court or dazzling at events off it, the sisters have always made an impact together. As one of the most successful doubles duos in tennis history, they captured 14 Grand Slam titles, and their bond has remained just as strong beyond the game. Now, they’re taking that connection in a new direction with an exciting project.
This week, the Williams sisters unveiled their latest collaboration—a podcast called Stockton Street, inspired by their childhood in Compton. The first episode drops on September 17, promising personal stories and insights into their lives. Ahead of the release, Serena shared a sneak peek featuring a candid exchange between the two.
In the clip, Venus reflected on Serena’s dominant years. “There was a stretch when you were untouchable,” she said. “It lasted about two years where I just couldn’t keep up.” Serena responded by linking that period of brilliance to her personal life, saying, “That’s when I went through my breakup.” Venus then added humor, joking, “Oh, I wish I would’ve broken up too,” sparking laughter between them.
The reference pointed back to Serena’s much-discussed relationship with rapper Drake, which reportedly ended in 2015. During that same stretch, Serena claimed four consecutive Grand Slam titles, cementing her aura of invincibility.
The preview gave fans a taste of what the podcast will deliver: heartfelt memories mixed with playful sibling banter. But while many were thrilled about Stockton Street, they also voiced one request—more appearances from the sisters.
Though Serena has retired from professional tennis and Venus continues to compete, their supporters want them to branch out beyond their own show. “Please make this available on all podcast platforms,” one fan pleaded. Another added, “I’d love to listen, but I can’t deal with the chaos of X. Hopefully it comes to Apple Podcasts soon!”
For now, the podcast will launch on X, but the sisters hinted it could expand to other platforms in the future. Given their loyal following, it’s safe to say fans will be tuning in wherever it lands.
