The 40-year-old shared a glimpse of the glamorous evening on Instagram, where she was seen strutting confidently in a sparkling gold-fringed mini dress that highlighted her toned legs. Fans flooded the comments with praise, including designer Vera Wang, who left a row of fire emojis in admiration.
Vonn, who retired from professional skiing in 2019, has stayed committed to her fitness routine, often training under celebrity coach Gunnar Peterson. Despite recovering from a knee injury, she frequently shares workout clips on social media, ranging from weighted squats and resistance band exercises to one-arm lifts and lunges.
Speaking about her dedication, Vonn has said that exercise not only builds her physical strength but also fuels her mental resilience. “I like feeling strong, and when I feel physically strong, I feel so much more mentally strong,” she explained in a past interview.
Her commitment has delivered results that she’s proud of. Last year, she shared a series of bikini photos, telling followers she wasn’t afraid of criticism: “I’ve been working hard in the gym and taking care of me… so I’m going to post some bikini pics because I’m proud of myself.”
The Laureus World Sports Awards, which Vonn helped host, will be broadcast on NBC on April 24.
