Racket From Murray’s 2013 Wimbledon Win Sold At Auction For $73,200

A tennis racket once wielded by Andy Murray, the former world No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam winner, has been sold at auction for $73,200, according to ESPN.

This particular racket was used by Murray throughout Wimbledon 2013, including in the final where he defeated Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4. That triumph ended a 76-year wait for a British man to claim the Wimbledon singles title.

For comparison, the record for the most expensive tennis racket ever sold is held by Rafael Nadal’s Babolat, used in his 2017 French Open victory, which changed hands in June of this year for $157,000.
