Sam Kerr launches special signature boots ahead of long-awaited return to the pitch

Sam Kerr is set to make her return to football in style, launching her first pair of signature boots in partnership with her sportswear sponsor.

The Chelsea and Matildas striker has been sidelined since January 2024 after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a training camp in Morocco. While she resumed training earlier this year, she has not featured in a competitive match since the injury.

Speaking to Wide World of Sports, Kerr shared her excitement about the release: “I still can’t believe it, honestly. Every time I see them or talk about them, it feels surreal. Not many people have had the chance to see them yet—even some of my family are waiting, and my little cousins can’t wait to get a look.”

The past two years have been transformative for Kerr both on and off the pitch. Alongside her rehabilitation, she embraced motherhood, welcoming her son Jagger in May 2025.

Now, the two-time Olympian and captain of the Australian national team is aiming to return for the start of the Women’s Super League season in September. Chelsea, who are chasing a seventh consecutive league crown, kick off their campaign against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on 5 September.
