Lindsey Vonn Opens Up on Confidence and Life After Retirement

Just weeks after undergoing knee surgery, Lindsey Vonn has been spotted enjoying some downtime on the beach. The retired skiing legend admitted that her body isn’t currently in peak condition, but she remains confident and comfortable in her own skin.

In a candid post on Twitter, Vonn revealed that she hasn’t been able to train in the five weeks since her operation. Despite the scars, lack of muscle tone, and visible cellulite, she said she still feels proud of her body and doesn’t shy away from wearing a bikini.

“Last weekend I went to Miami Beach – without much muscle, with fresh scars and cellulite. Even though I’m completely out of shape, I’m still proud of my body and not ashamed to wear a bikini,” she wrote.

The 34-year-old American, who closed out her storied skiing career last winter due to mounting injuries, acknowledged at the time: “My body can’t be repaired anymore.”

Although she has stepped away from competition, Vonn remains committed to staying active. She expressed her excitement about returning to training and regaining her fitness.

“I’m excited to start training again and to get back in shape. I’m even more excited to show you what ‘in-shape Lindsey’ looks like,” she added.

Fans won’t have to wait long for a glimpse—Vonn teased her appearance in the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, saying: “I’m proud of my body and not ashamed to walk around in a bikini. That being said, I can’t wait to show you the new SI swimsuit issue next week.”
