Jaden Agassi, the son of tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, had a tough debut at the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. Choosing baseball over tennis, the 23-year-old pitcher struggled in Germany’s 9-7 loss to Brazil, allowing four earned runs in 0.2 innings.
With his parents watching, Jaden faced Lucas Ramirez, son of former Red Sox star Manny, surrendering three hits and two walks before being pulled. Despite a strong showing in the MLB Draft League, he now aims to bounce back against Colombia while hoping to make the Agassi name known in baseball.
Although raised in a tennis dynasty, Jaden’s love for baseball began at six. He never felt pressured to follow in his parents’ footsteps, instead embracing a sport that captured his passion. Now, he dreams of making Germany proud on the international stage.
