Another win for Sir Andy as Cromlix nets a prestigious award for best hotel

Sir Andy Murray has claimed another accolade, this time outside of tennis, after his Cromlix hotel was crowned the best in Scotland.

The five-star Victorian mansion, located near Murray’s hometown of Dunblane, won the top prize at the 2024 AA Hospitality Awards in London. His wife, Kim, was present at the ceremony and proudly accepted the award on behalf of the hotel and its staff.

Cromlix, which the couple purchased in 2013 for £1.8 million and later used as their wedding venue, sits within 34 acres of landscaped grounds. The property features a chapel, a trout loch, and even a Wimbledon-inspired tennis court, all of which impressed inspectors alongside its beautifully restored rooms and high-quality dining experience.

Earlier this year, the hotel also won Independent Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Excellence Awards and was ranked eighth in the UK’s Best 100 Places to Stay list—further proof that the Murrays’ investment has transformed Cromlix into a true luxury destination.
