Brandel Chamblee, a respected Golf Channel analyst and former PGA Tour pro, recently dismissed Tiger Woods’ chances of surpassing Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major wins. He called it an unbreakable feat in response to a fan poll online.
Chamblee, known for his bold takes, responded to NBC Sports’ post by stating, “Jack Nicklaus 18 Majors,” as his pick for the most unbreakable sports record. He also highlighted Secretariat’s Belmont win as a close second.
Woods, once poised to overtake Nicklaus, has been hindered by recurring injuries. Since 2008, he has secured only one additional major title—his stunning 2019 Masters win—bringing his total to 15.
Although Woods is just one win shy of Sam Snead’s all-time PGA Tour wins record, his inconsistent play and limited appearances have raised doubts about his ability to add to his major tally.
