GOYANG-SI, South Korea — Fresh off a win with Lydia Ko at the Hanwha LifePlus International Crown, English golfer Charley Hull headed straight to Olive Young, the super trendy K-beauty store here. Guess what? Their sales have shot up this year (like, 70%!), all thanks to the craze for Korean skincare.
Hull, who’s 29, is known just as much for her amazing skin as she is for her golf. She’s snagged three LPGA titles and is seriously into skincare, something she picked up from her Polish mom. Her mom always pushed for good food and keeping things natural, and Hull told *Golfweek* her mom was super strict about makeup.
Even though she spends tons of time in the sun, Hull usually goes makeup-free, except when it’s something special. Instead, she’s all about her daily skincare thing: cleanse, tone, moisturize, and always SPF. Back home, she does weekly facials and gets stuff like laser peels, BBL, and Moxi to fix sun damage. She was excited to share that her skin tested like she was 25, which surprised everyone.
Hull also stays young by keeping healthy. She barely drinks booze because it messes with her skin, and she eats stuff like fish and veggies. She even gets collagen treatments, like microneedling with polynucleotides made from salmon DNA – a current big thing in Korean skincare. Apparently, it helps keep skin elastic and youthful.
She did try lip fillers once, but she got rid of them and said nope, never again with a laugh. Now, her beauty routine is like her golf game – consistent, careful, and focused on looking after herself.
