Nelly Korda achieved two historic milestones at the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, winning her first Major and rising to World No. 1 in the Rolex rankings. She became the first American since 2014 to top the rankings, marking a significant achievement in her career.
Reflecting on her victory, Korda called it a “dream come true” and credited her caddie, Jason, for keeping her focused. Despite facing challenges, including a water hazard on the 15th hole, she maintained her composure to secure a three-stroke win. Her performance solidified her dominance in women’s golf.
Korda continued her success, winning four LPGA titles in 2021, including back-to-back victories at the Meijer LPGA Classic and the Women’s PGA Championship. She later claimed another Major at the 2024 Chevron Championship and currently leads the Rolex rankings, proving her consistency at the top level.
