Raducanu, who was managing back pain during the match, said she understood her opponent’s reaction. While she didn’t feel personally affected, she supported Collins’ right to speak up about uncomfortable behaviour on court.
Despite the heated exchange, Raducanu praised the competitive spirit, stating she held no grudge. She emphasized that players must remain focused and shouldn’t be distracted by external issues during matches.
Raducanu also addressed her recurring back issue, which flared up mid-match. She expressed frustration with the ongoing spasms but remains hopeful of managing it in time for the French Open starting this weekend.
