Emma Raducanu was edged out by Danielle Collins in a spirited second-round clash at the WTA 500 event in Strasbourg. Despite taking the opening set, Raducanu couldn’t hold off Collins’ resurgence, falling 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Collins’ fiery court presence drew attention again, particularly after she called out a cameraman during a changeover. Raducanu, however, said such behavior didn’t distract her and acknowledged the competitive nature of high-stakes matches.

Speaking post-match, Raducanu clarified her stance, saying she expects intensity from Collins and respects it. She added that while their on-court dynamic is fierce, they maintain a cordial relationship off the court.
Raducanu also shared details of a courtside exchange with Collins, revealing they briefly discussed the cameraman incident. Collins found the proximity intrusive—something Raducanu didn’t take issue with, reaffirming her focus and composure.
