Emma Raducanu’s ‘jealousy’ over with her tennis rivals all in agreement

Emma Raducanu expressed past envy over the ATP’s exclusive access to Queen’s Club, but that sentiment is gone. The WTA’s return to the historic London venue marks a powerful milestone, last seen on its courts in 1973.

Now part of a star-studded line-up, Raducanu joins Madison Keys and Zheng Qinwen in celebrating the WTA 500 tournament’s revival. Their participation reflects a shared excitement over finally competing at a venue long dominated by men’s tennis.

Keys, driven by admiration for the grass swing and encouragement from friend Laura Robson, welcomed the chance to play. She recalled feeling “pretty jealous” as ATP players raved about the tournament’s atmosphere and tradition.

Zheng, with limited grass-court experience, couldn’t resist joining the historic event. She praised the club’s rich heritage, calling Queen’s a “classic, traditional place” that offers players a truly special experience
