Emma Raducanu paid a special visit to the England rugby squad in the days leading up to their impressive win over the All Blacks on Saturday, November 15.
Head coach Steve Borthwick, who has been looking to bring in inspiration from other elite sports, invited Britain’s highest-ranked tennis player to spend time with the team. England’s senior players sought her perspective as they continued preparing for one of their toughest fixtures.
The 22-year-old watched part of a training session before stepping in to take part in a line-out drill with props Fin Baxter and Will Stuart. Her appearance came during Tuesday’s camp at Pennyhill Park.
Following Raducanu’s visit, England went on to claim a rare victory over New Zealand – their ninth ever – sealing a confident 33–19
result.
