Fans rejoice at their idol golfer Jordan Spieth as he moves to T7 after two consecutive birdies at the Valero Texas Open

Jordan Spieth thrilled fans at the 2025 Valero Texas Open, moving into a tie for seventh after back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15. His stellar short game drew applause and highlighted his competitive spark on the Oaks Course.

The PGA Tour shared Spieth’s birdie moments on social media, where he briefly climbed to T3. However, a double bogey on hole one set him back to T7, with six holes left to play in his second round.

Returning from wrist surgery, Spieth has had a challenging PGA Tour season. Yet, his Valero performance shows signs of resurgence ahead of the 2025 Masters next week.

Keith Mitchell leads the event at eight under par. Spieth trails by three strokes, tied with Maverick McNealy, while Sam Ryder and others sit at T2, making for a tightly contested leaderboard.
