Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Barstool Sports’ Cody “Beef” Franke, who died unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, from medical complications.

Franke, a former pro golfer and one of the most beloved figures at Barstool Sports, served as the Head Golf Professional for the Fore Play Podcast. His sudden death was confirmed by the show in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“We are beyond devastated to announce that our good friend and cherished Barstool Sports colleague, Cody ‘Beef’ Franke, passed away from a sudden medical issue over the weekend,” the podcast team wrote.

Reacting to the news, Paige Spiranac shared her condolences, writing, “Heartbreaking news. He was such a kind and good person.”

The Fore Play Podcast later released a touching tribute, describing Franke as someone who truly loved golf and dedicated his life to helping others enjoy the game.

“Watching golf bring people happiness brought him happiness,” the statement read. “He was known as the nicest guy in the world. From his PGA days to his time at Barstool, Cody made people laugh, smile, and become better.”

The statement ended with a moving farewell:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Cody’s family and loved ones. We’ll be taking our hats off for him today and always. Rest in peace to the classiest man we knew.”

The golf world has been shaken by Franke’s passing, with tributes pouring in from across the community.

Barstool Sports founder **Dave Portnoy** shared his grief on X:
