GOYANG-SI, South Korea — Fresh off her victory alongside Lydia Ko at the Hanwha LifePlus International Crown, English golfer Charley Hull swapped her clubs for a shopping trip, heading straight from her hotel to Olive Young — South Korea’s famous K-beauty retailer. The chain has seen a 70% sales surge this year, with millions of loyal members drawn to the country’s world-renowned skincare products.
Hull, 29, is known as much for her glowing skin as her golfing prowess. A three-time LPGA champion, she has a deep passion for skincare — something she attributes to her Polish mother, who taught her the importance of clean eating and natural beauty from a young age. “Mum always told me to cleanse, tone, and keep it natural. I wasn’t even allowed to wear much makeup,” Hull shared with *Golfweek*.

Despite spending long hours under the sun, Hull rarely wears makeup — only for special occasions. Instead, she focuses on daily skincare: cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and applying SPF religiously. At home, she treats herself to weekly facials and advanced treatments like laser peels, Broadband Light (BBL), and Moxi, which help combat sun damage and pigmentation. “My skin age tested four years younger than my actual age — they couldn’t believe it,” she said proudly.
Hull’s youthful look is also fueled by her lifestyle choices. She cut down on alcohol in her early twenties to prevent skin inflammation and follows a nutrient-rich diet packed with fish and vegetables. She even incorporates collagen treatments, including microneedling with polynucleotides — an ingredient derived from salmon DNA, a rising trend in Korean skincare. “It helps restore collagen and keeps your skin elastic and youthful,” she explained.
Though she once experimented with lip fillers, Hull has since embraced a more natural look. “I got them dissolved and promised myself never again,” she laughed. Today, her beauty philosophy mirrors her golf game — consistent, disciplined, and rooted in self-care.
