Emma Raducanu advanced to the Internationaux de Strasbourg round of 16 with a dominant 6-1, 6-3 win over sixth seed Daria Kasatkina. It marked her first victory against the Australian in four career meetings.
Raducanu controlled the opening set with aggressive returns, breaking Kasatkina multiple times in just 29 minutes. Kasatkina, newly representing Australia, struggled under Raducanu’s relentless pressure throughout.
The second set featured seven consecutive breaks of serve, but Raducanu eventually held and sealed the match on her fourth match point with a deep forehand winner Kasatkina couldn’t return.
Despite low serving percentages, Raducanu capitalized on Kasatkina’s weak second serve. She now faces Danielle Collins, runner-up in 2024, aiming to match or surpass her Italian Open performance
