Nelly Korda endured a tough outing at the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, finishing tied for 19th after rounds of 72, 74, 72, and 76. Her struggles stemmed from a recurring neck injury aggravated shortly before the tournament began.
Despite initially stating the injury didn’t affect her swing, Korda admitted ongoing discomfort turning her neck and difficulties sleeping. The injury, previously problematic last year, resurfaced during a practice round in Texas, forcing her to miss some tournament events.
Given her current condition, Korda has withdrawn from the upcoming Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. She’s prioritizing recovery, aware that neck injuries typically require extended rest due to previous complications dating back to 2024.
Still, Korda’s 2025 season remains impressive, with ten starts, four top-10 finishes, and over $1.8 million in earnings. She currently ranks sixth in the Race to CME Globe standings, demonstrating resilience despite recent setbacks.
