Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion and PGA Tour star, has been named to the University of Texas Athletics Hall of Honor. With his impressive career achievements, including leading Texas to an NCAA Championship, he solidifies his legacy in Longhorn sports history.
Spieth, who turned 30 last month, will be inducted alongside 10 other former Texas student-athletes in September. During his collegiate career in 2011-12, he was a first-team All-American and a Ben Hogan Award finalist, showcasing his exceptional talent before turning professional.
The Hall of Honor induction ceremony will take place in Austin, Texas, on September 15. Spieth and his fellow inductees will also be recognized during the Texas football game against Wyoming on September 16, celebrating their contributions to Longhorn athletics.
