John Daly has thrilled fans with a simple, four-word announcement: “Houston! See y’all there!” The golfing legend confirmed his participation in the upcoming Insperity Invitational, set to take place May 2–4 at The Woodlands Country Club in Houston, Texas.
Following his appearance at the James Hardie Invitational, Daly is set to return to familiar ground. He previously won the Insperity Invitational in 2017 and will also host the “Grip It and Rip It” Long Drive Competition on May 2 at the event’s Driving Range.
This marks the second edition of Daly’s Long Drive event, with added excitement this year: the winner will earn a spot in the World Long Drive Championship, to be held in September at Colorado’s Bigfoot Turf.
Since joining the PGA Champions Tour in 2016, Daly has claimed one title—the 2017 Insperity Invitational. Despite recent finishes outside the top 50, his fanbase remains strong, drawn by his bold personality and dynamic presence on and off the course.
