Jordan Spieth did something Saturday at Masters that he’d not done in nearly a decade

Jordan Spieth posted a bogey-free round at Augusta National on Saturday, something he hadn’t accomplished since the 2016 Masters. His 3-under 69 marked a significant personal milestone, reflecting his steady play amid challenging course conditions.

Despite the clean card, Spieth remained visibly frustrated during his round. Emotional moments—including a heated exchange with caddie Michael Greller—highlighted his intensity, especially after difficult breaks like Friday’s drive on the 18th that struck a tree.

Spieth admitted his iron play has let him down recently, missing several greens over the last two rounds. However, he saw positives in his putting and improved comfort with a new driver—his fifth since Pebble Beach—plus a lucky break on the eighth hole.

While Spieth’s chances to contend Sunday appear slim, he expressed hope in finishing strong. Confident in his putting, he feels encouraged by recent progress, saying he’s ready to take more creative approaches around Augusta’s unforgiving greens.
