Justin Thomas ‘past the level of exhaustion’ with PGA Tour-LIV feud

For over three years, the PGA Tour has been entangled in a dispute with LIV Golf, leaving top players like Justin Thomas fatigued. As the 2025 Players Championship approaches, the uncertainty surrounding a potential merger continues to loom over the sport.

Despite initial resistance, the conversation within the PGA Tour has shifted toward resolution. Commissioner Jay Monahan remains focused on a reunification deal, but progress has been slow. Thomas, echoing the sentiments of many players, expressed frustration over the prolonged negotiations and the lack of clarity.

Acknowledging the financial benefits LIV’s emergence has brought, Thomas still disagrees with the methods used to disrupt professional golf. While increased prize money has benefited players, he believes the division could have been handled differently and hopes for a resolution soon.

Monahan recently stated that negotiations with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund are ongoing, but challenges remain. As tensions persist, Thomas and his fellow competitors are eager to move beyond this era, yet a final agreement still appears distant.
