Leylah Fernandez and Father Jorge Enjoy a Scenic Boat Ride in Dubai
Leylah Fernandez is in Dubai preparing for the upcoming hardcourt season following the Australian Open. Accompanied by her father and coach, Jorge Fernandez, the Canadian star took time off training to enjoy a scenic boat ride, sharing memorable moments with her team.

The 22-year-old has had a solid start to the 2025 WTA season, reaching the third round of the Australian Open before falling to Coco Gauff. She now looks ahead to the WTA 1000 tournaments in Doha and Dubai, aiming to build on her recent performances.

Fernandez shared glimpses of her Dubai adventure on Instagram, captioning her post, “Making memories in Dubai.” She was joined by Spanish pro Jaume Pla Malfeito, with picturesque views of the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis serving as a stunning backdrop.

The former US Open finalist is determined to improve her record at the Dubai Tennis Championships, where she has yet to progress past the second round. With a strong showing in Doha last year, Fernandez hopes to make a deeper run in both Middle Eastern tournaments.
