American skiing legend Lindsey Vonn has taken up an unexpected hobby during her off-season—learning roping techniques from rodeo star Cody Ohl. Vonn traveled to Hico, Texas, to immerse herself in cowboy culture and explore a new challenge.

Despite being in her downtime, the 40-year-old remains active and driven. After a strong comeback in 2024, Vonn capped her 2025 season with a podium finish at the Worl

d Cup Finals in Sun Valley, rekindling her competitive spirit ahead of the 2026 Winter Games.

Vonn shared footage of her lessons on July 10, showing her roping a steer dummy and riding Ohl’s prized horse, Baby Doll. In her caption, she thanked the six-time world champion for his guidance and hinted at continuing the hobby next summer.

Currently preparing for the Cortina Games, Vonn expressed excitement about returning to Olympic competition. While looking forward to visiting Milan post-Games, she also acknowledged the emotional difficulty of attending without her late dog, Lucy.
