Olympic skiing icon Lindsey Vonn has been nominated for the 2025 ESPY Award in the Best Comeback Athlete category. Vonn, now 40, is the only skier among over 70 nominees, including stars like Suni Lee and Gabe Landeskog.
This recognition comes after Vonn’s stunning return to competition following a six-year hiatus and partial knee replacement. Her 2024-2025 season was highlighted by a second-place super-G finish at the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho.
That performance marked her 138th career World Cup podium and made her the oldest female skier to achieve such a feat in Alpine skiing history. If she wins, this would be her fifth ESPY Award.
Fans can vote for their favorite athletes in each category until July 16. The 2025 ESPY Awards will broadcast live that evening at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
