Former tennis champion Maria Sharapova gave fans a glimpse of her impeccable fashion sense this week, sharing a mirror selfie that showed off what she called her latest wardrobe “staple.”
The five-time Grand Slam winner—who captured titles at all four majors and earned an Olympic silver medal in 2012—retired from professional tennis in February 2020. Since then, Sharapova has shifted her focus to business ventures and the fashion world, regularly appearing at elite style events.
Sharapova, who got engaged to British entrepreneur Alexander Gilkes in 2020 and welcomed their son Theodore in July 2022, looked effortlessly stylish in her latest post. The 37-year-old wore a simple grey top paired with sleek black pants and a matching handbag. She playfully captioned her Instagram Story, “Cute new staple @onequince.”

Sharapova’s last Grand Slam triumph came at the 2014 French Open, where she defeated Simona Halep in the final to lift the trophy at Roland Garros for the second time.
Maria Sharapova Set for Hall of Fame Induction in 2025
Sharapova’s legendary career will be honored later this year when she’s officially inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Newport, Rhode Island, from August 21 to 23, 2025.
Reflecting on the honor, Sharapova recalled her early awareness of the Hall of Fame after her first Grand Slam win:
“I remember when they asked for one of my dresses to display in the museum, and I thought, ‘Oh my goodness!’”
She expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition:
“In retirement, you rarely stop to reflect on your career. This is such an incredible honor, and I’m so thankful to everyone who voted. I’m truly grateful.”
Joining her in the 2025 class will be the iconic doubles duo Mike and Bob Bryan, known collectively as the Bryan Brothers.
