Maria Sharapova’s $25 Million LA Mansion Gets New Owner in Luka Doncic After 13 Years

Luka Doncic has cemented his future in Los Angeles by signing a $165 million extension with the Lakers and purchasing a lavish $25 million Manhattan Beach mansion. Interestingly, the property once belonged to tennis legend Maria Sharapova, adding a unique sports connection.

Despite Slovenia’s EuroBasket 2025 quarterfinal exit against Germany, Doncic continues to shine. He scored 39 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in that game, proving his individual brilliance even in defeat. Off the court, his high-profile real estate move further reflects his commitment to LA.

Sharapova, who bought the property in 2012 for $4.1 million, worked with KAA Design to transform it into a modern three-story home featuring five bedrooms, a pool, and even a two-lane bowling alley. She decided to sell it to focus on her family life in Europe with fiancé Alexander Gilkes and their son, Theodore.

Sharapova, recently inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, leaves behind a house filled with her personal touch. For Doncic, owning this mansion symbolizes not just a lifestyle upgrade but also a long-term connection with Los Angeles, where he hopes to lead the Lakers to future championships
