Matildas captain Sam Kerr has shared a heartwarming update on her fiancée Kristie Mewis’ pregnancy. Posting to Instagram, Kerr revealed that Mewis is 26 weeks along and “glowing,” sharing a photo of the soccer star cradling her growing baby bump.
The couple, who announced their pregnancy in November 2024, are expecting their first child in early May. Kerr proposed to Mewis in September 2023, and they’ve since become a beloved figure in international football, both on and off the field.
During the holidays, the pair visited Kerr’s family in Perth before attending teammate Emily van Egmond’s wedding in New South Wales. Unfortunately, Kerr had to return early after her grandmother was hospitalized following a car accident in Palmyra.
Meanwhile, Kerr is currently sidelined with an ACL injury and hasn’t played for Chelsea this season. Off the pitch, she faces legal proceedings in London, with a trial scheduled for February over a public order charge. She has pleaded not guilty.
