Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry are expected to be fined following foul-mouthed outbursts during the second round of the US PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. Both golfers were caught on camera using profane language in moments of frustration.
Hatton’s temper flared after a poor tee shot on the 18th, shouting an expletive picked up by Sky Sports. This came just a day after a similar incident had already prompted the broadcaster to issue an apology on his behalf.
Lowry, who missed the cut after a tough first round, was also filmed making an obscene gesture and swearing during a bogey. His comments, including “f*** this place,” drew criticism as emotions ran high.
Both players addressed their conduct after the round, with Hatton admitting it wasn’t his “finest moment.” Despite showing flashes of quality, both struggled on the course and now face disciplinary consequences.
