Nelly Korda confesses not having ‘anything more to prove people’ ahead of the 2025 AIG Women’s Open

As the world’s No. 1 golfer, Nelly Korda enters the 2025 AIG Women’s Open with confidence and calm. Speaking ahead of the event, she declared she has “nothing more to prove,” emphasizing her love and passion for the game.

Korda’s stellar 2024 season included six wins in seven starts and a major title at the Chevron Championship. Though winless recently, she’s remained consistent, finishing second at both the U.S. Women’s Open and the AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews.

Despite her success, Korda isn’t focused on winning in every country. Instead, she aims to prepare well, stay competitive, and continue enjoying the game. Her mindset reflects a mature and grounded approach to elite-level competition.

She also praised rising star Lottie Woad, who recently outshone her at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. Korda was impressed by Woad’s composure and maturity, calling her performance “absolutely amazing” and noting her discipline under pressure.
