Nelly Korda Enjoys a Relaxing Day in New York City During Her LPGA Tour Break

After a demanding season filled with ups and downs, Nelly Korda has taken some time off to unwind — and what better place than New York City? The American golf star recently shared a glimpse of her off-tour life, showing fans how she’s spending her much-deserved break.

The 2025 season hasn’t quite lived up to the dominant standards Korda has set in previous years. She started strong, finishing runner-up at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and securing a top-10 spot at the Founders Cup. However, inconsistency crept in as she tied for 22nd at the Ford Championship and 28th at the T-Mobile Match Play.

Her more recent performances have also reflected that uneven form — a tie for fifth at the Kroger Queen City Championship followed by a disappointing tie for 66th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Once the World No. 1, Korda’s fluctuating results have caused her to slip down the global rankings.

Nelly Korda’s New York “Must”

Amid the break, Korda took a quick trip to New York and gave fans a peek into her day through Instagram. She posted a photo of herself sipping coffee at Devoción, a popular NYC café, captioning the picture:

“Devocionusa is always a must.”

The photo, slightly blurred but full of charm, showed Korda relaxed and enjoying the city vibes — a much-needed reset before returning to competition.

A Season of Mixed Highlights

Korda has had moments of brilliance this year. She finished tied for 16th at the JM Eagle LA Championship and 14th at the Chevron Championship. Her standout performance came at the U.S. Women’s Open, where she tied for second and earned over $1 million in prize money. She later claimed a top-five finish at the Mizuho Americas Open and 15th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic but couldn’t sustain her momentum through the rest of the season.

Paying Tribute to Stacy Lewis

During her last appearance at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, Korda also took a moment to honor two-time major winner Stacy Lewis, who announced her retirement before the event.

Reflecting on Lewis’ impact, Korda told Newsweek:

“Ever since my rookie year, she’s someone who has done so much for American women’s golf. Getting to know her through the Solheim Cup and her captaincy has been amazing. Sharing the course with her these past two days has been incredible. She’s a great role model, and I wish her the best in this next chapter.”

Lewis, who competed in four Solheim Cups as a player and later captained Team USA to victory in 2024, has long been an inspiration to younger golfers like Korda.

As Nelly Korda enjoys her brief pause from the LPGA grind, fans hope her time in New York — and her favorite Devoción coffee — helps her recharge for a stronger finish to the season.
